Generally speaking, the motor can be directly started through electric supply, which will generate a starting current equivalent to 6-8 times the rated motor current. In case of frequent power outage applications, it will cause a considerable degree of starting shock. When the motor is started by the frequency converter, the motor will not be affected by the starting shock, and can be smoothly started by the drive of the frequency converter, while the frequency and voltage are increased with the acceleration of the frequency converter. The starting current of the motor will also be limited to below 150% of the rated current. The Taipei International Automation Exhibition will be grandly unveiled at the Nangang Exhibition Hall. It can provide energy-saving optimization solutions from production and manufacturing to electricity management, and tailor intelligent low-carbon factories for highly electricity consuming businesses with the support of ITTS's intelligent factory KPI situation room and Dongxun's fully-intelligent electromechanical health management platform.
The theme of TECP’s exhibition this year is divided into three major areas: “Integrated Solutions for Low-carbon Intelligent Factories”, “Green Power System Solutions”, and “Automation Solutions”, with the core of achieving the vision of “energy conservation, emission reduction, intelligence, and automation”. At the exhibition area of “Intelligent Factory Low-carbon Industrial Energy Saving Solutions”, it dynamically displayed the energy-saving solutions for efficient and energy-saving motors and cooling water towers, and explained with actual data by assuming that the average energy saving can be 5% if the owner replaces IE1 motors with IE4 efficient and energy-saving motor; if the IE4 motor is replaced and used in conjunction with a frequency converter, the energy-saving effect can reach 25%~50%. It can be seen that TECO’s low-carbon industrial energy-saving solutions together with data analysis can assist factories in significantly improving energy efficiency and achieving the goal of energy and cost saving.
In the “Automation Solutions” exhibition area, TECO has planned a robot area and servo application solutions, including the “Smart Spray Epidemic Prevention Robot” that won the Taiwan Silver Award this year also appeared at TECO's stand to perform disinfection work. And the robotic arms of TECO's new collaborative robot first exposed are installed on a smart mobile platform. This set of fast and convenient robotic arm joint modules can interact with on-site guests. The visitors only need to grasp the arm to perform one action, that is, “hand-pull teaching memory”, the robotic arm will completely repeat the action. This product adopts a modular design for is easy installation and more precise positioning, which significantly reduces the difficulty of robot development, and it is suitable for industrial manufacturing, consumer commerce, education research, medical care, and other fields. Another automation solution is the “overhead crane” equipment used in semiconductor factories, which adopts the TECO DC servo system and simulates the entire factory application in the exhibition hall. It displays the automatic handling and rail changing functions when walking on high-altitude tracks, without occupying personnel walking and machine placement space, greatly increasing space utilization.
T In the “Green Power System Solutions” exhibition area, TECO showcased a full range of product achievements to meet the needs of intelligent mobile solutions with different carrying capacities from small to large, including using this year’s new electric vehicle power system T Power+ as the power system for port large automatic transport vehicles to fully realize the electrification of transportation tools, reduce carbon emissions, with the combination of automation and carbon reduction concepts.
The various services provided by ITTS, an affiliated enterprise of TECO, are an important part of TECO’S smart factory solutions. In response to the digital transformation needs of the manufacturing industry and the protection of information security, ITTS has showcased the security monitoring room and provided OT device level security solutions in response to industrial control security solutions for the first time, including latent malicious behavior detection and emergency alarm notification for security attack events, so as to reduce the security risks in the manufacturing industry, which is expected to become one of the highlights of this exhibition.
